From Friday 24 to Sunday 26 September, Smeysberg is the climb that will test the road racers’ mettle in the 2021 UCI Road World Championships. Starting from Antwerp, the peloton will climb as many Flemish hills as possible, including Smeysberg. They will climb it twice during the road race. And who knows, this may be the place where the decisive attack is launched to nab the rainbow jersey... Sunday 26 September: Elite Men road race
On Sunday 26 September, the 2021 UCI Road World Championships will climb up Smeysberg one last time. That day we will find out which Flandrien will get to wear the coveted rainbow jersey on the podium. There is no way of predicting who will succeed Julian Alaphilippe but one thing is certain: you can enjoy a front row experience of the last road race.
