Roadshows
We’re sure you can’t wait for the 2021 UCI Road World Championships! We can’t either, so we will soon be coming to you with a totally free, travelling cycle racing experience village! This summer, we are visiting no fewer than 16 locations to get everyone in the mood for the 2021 UCI Road World Championships in Flanders.
During our Flanders 2021 Roadshow, not only will you join us in looking back on the most memorable legends the cycling roads have ever known in the KOERSbus, we will also be looking forward! Because during the roadshow, you can experience the Flanders 2021 UCI Road World Championships for yourself in our experience trailer! Parasports players and the little ones are also included in an interactive manner, naturally in World Championships style! One thing is certain: the Flanders 2021 Roadshow is for everyone: young and old, cycle racing fans, active cyclists or anyone curious about what the World Championships have to offer.
Practical information
From 24 July to 11 September, we will be travelling along the World Championships route, stopping off in the various World Championships host cities and villages, as well as in a number of provincial domains in the Province of Flemish Brabant.

What is there to experience?
Besides the wonderful cycle racing atmosphere you can soak up, providing a taster of the September race festival, and the countless cycling fans you will undoubtedly bump into, there is of course plenty to do!
Flanders 2021 experience trailer
In the experience trailer, we look ahead to the World Championships and the future. You will be fully immersed in the virtual world of cycling. Want to try out the World Championships route? You can, thanks to our high-tech indoor training equipment. Always wanted to know how Wout van Aert feels when he puts on his time trial helmet? Just take a seat on a time trial bike in our wind tunnel and experience for yourself exactly what it’s like! Did you know that you can also win some great prizes with our Moskesstraat Challenge? As you can see, there is plenty to do in the run-up to the World Championships.
KOERSbus
The KOERSbus, a project by KOERS. Museum of Cycle Racing (Roeselare), is a bus that has been converted into a museum on wheels where you can look back on 100 years of road cycling world champions. This dive into cycle racing history fits perfectly in the run-up to the 2021 UCI Road World Championships in Flanders, because we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the World Championships in September. So it’s the ideal time to revisit historical cycle racing moments by means of some unique collection pieces and stories.
Little Champions
We also have some fun activities for the little ones! Thanks to Cycling Vlaanderen, during the Flanders 2021 Roadshow children aged between 5 and 14 can visit Little Champions to join in a unique cycling experience, focused on safety. They are guided on a challenging bike route by experienced initiators and volunteers with the aim of improving their technical cycling skills. Who knows, your son or daughter might be the new Remco Evenepoel or Lotte Kopecky!
Adapted bicycles
Sport Vlaanderen is bringing its bicycle specials to the Flanders 2021 Roadshow. By so doing it wants everyone to get to know the wide range of adapted bicycles that are otu there. Have you ever ridden a racing tandem or a handbike? Come along and discover them on our specially designed track!
