Thank you Flanders!

The UCI Road World Championships are done and dusted. From 18 to 26 September, we experienced highlight after highlight. We got goosebumps from the emotional reactions of racers who had given their all (and more) and sped past the finish line. We had a lump in our throats at every podium ceremony. And we had tears in our eyes at the images of a delirious audience on the last day of the race. The UCI Road World Championships has had a bigger and more wonderful 100th anniversary than it could ever have dreamed of. And so we say: thank you.

Thank you Flanders for giving us your beautiful roads, cities and climbs, on eight days during which history was written. Thank you Flemings for your massive presence, your gripping enthusiasm and your eternal passion for sport. Together we created a historic edition of the World Championships, on which we will forever look back with nostalgia and above all with great pride. For all these things, we say a heartfelt thank you!
